Obituary for Salvador A. "Tony" Rivas

Salvador A. ‘Tony’ Rivas, 91, of Monacatootha Apartments, Monaca, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 26, 2014, at Friendship Ridge, where he had resided for the past seven months.

Born in El Salvador, he was a retired tailor in New York City. Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie. He attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.

He is survived by a daughter, Denise Rivas-Morgan and her husband, Dennis, of Leetsdale; four grandchildren, Cassandra Marie Morgan and Dominic Joseph Morgan, both of Washington, DC, and Eduardo Rivas and Ana Patricia Ramos Rivas, both in El Salvador, and a close friend, Betty Winkle of Monaca.

Private services were entrusted to Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Burial will be in El Salvador.
