She was a homemaker and a former 50-year member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Monaca, PA, where she was ‘Mother of the Year’ and where she spent many happy years working on various committees. Before she fell ill, Verna was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

Snyder and his wife, Valerie Rossi, Feasterville, PA; great-grandchildren, Amanda (Marchionda) and her husband, Richard Harkleroad, Tampa, FL; Meghan Marchionda, Niles, OH and Matthew Snyder, Southhampton, PA. Also surviving are a granddaughter Dawn Jones and her children, Danielle and Alex; her beloved sister Gladys (Hogg) and her husband, Nelson King, along with three nieces and three nephews.

In addition to her parents, Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Etsel T. Adams, on July 23, 1997; a son, Donald E. Adams on February 21, 1990; a daughter, Carol L. Adams on July 6, 1947; a sister Dolores (Hogg) Seres and a brother, Charles D. Hogg.

The family wishes to thank MVI Hospice and the staff at Woodlands for the loving and compassionate care they gave to Verna.

“Remember me, when flowers bloom
Early in the Spring
Remember me on sunny days
In the fun that Summer brings
Remember me in the Fall
As you walk through the leaves of gold
And in the Wintertime—
In the stories that are told
But most of all remember
Each day—right from the start
I will be forever near
For I live within your heart”
