Obituary for Mary Adams (Smith)

Mary L. Adams, 96, of Crafton, passed away Tuesday evening, October 2, 2012, at Friendship Ridge after a long and full life.

Born November 29, 1915, in Imperial, she was the last surviving child of the late Frank J. and Lena C. Saures Smith. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker who resided in Crafton for the majority of her life.

She leaves to mourn her loss a son, William E. Adams of Elmwood Park, Illinois; a granddaughter, Virginia Roth of Bloomingdale, Illinois; a grandson, John Adams in Florida; four great-grandchildren, Ayla Cisowski, John Adams Jr., Jada Lynn Adams and Jane Roth and a special niece, Kathy Moore of Center Township and her family.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Adams, on November 8, 1986; a daughter, Rose Adams; a granddaughter, Victoria Cisowski; three brothers, Francis, Andrew and Herman Smith and two sisters, Freda ‘Dolly’ Moore and Margaret Bray.

Friends will be received Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. Rev. A. Patrice Wierick, pastor of VanKirk Lutheran Church, Center Township, will officiate.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Harry, in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills, on Saturday.
