Obituary for Sheryl Marie Krizan (Ahrens)

Sheryl Marie Ahrens Krizan, 48, of Follansbee, WV, formerly of Monaca, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012, at her residence.

Born April 29, 1964, she was the daughter of Patricia Ann (Antoline) and Joseph George of Georgetown. A graduate of Monaca High School, Class of 1983, and ICM School of Business, Sheryl was first employed as a security guard at Crucible Steel, Midland.

After entering the US Air Force she earned several medical related certificates including Emergency Ambulance Technician, Medical Technical and Medical Office Assistant. Last stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii, she assisted the helicopter paramedics. After leaving the Air Force she resided in Stockton, California, where she was employed as a warehouse manager before returning to Pennsylvania in 2001. Sheryl received her licensed insurance agent certificates for life and health and accident insurance in 2005.

Sheryl was an avid animal lover and a life member of the Beaver County Humane Society.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Dale R. Krizan with whom she was united in marriage on February 3, 2002; a daughter, Cheyann, of Ambridge; a grandson, Colten; two brothers, Joe and John George; her maternal grandmother, Anna Antoline, and her mother-in-law, Virginia Krizan, both of Monaca, and a large extended family of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her birth father, Jacob ‘Larry’ Ahrens, Jr., her maternal grandfather, Albert C. Antoline, and several family members.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. Parting prayers will follow at 8 p.m.
