Obituary for Robert William Vignere

We regretfully announce the passing of Robert W. Vignere following a humble battle with lung cancer.
A Vietnam veteran, retired postal worker of Economy Borough, PA., devoted husband, wonderful father, loving grandfather and avid Boy Scouter, Robert Vignere left us on Friday, March 1, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wonderful wife of 45 years and love of his life since 3rd grade, Judith Vignere. Three sons: Timothy (Sara), Robert (Colleen), and Anthony (Chandra); beloved Pap-Pap to Lillian, Drea, Emily, Danny, Chloe, and Owen. Brother of Diana (Richard) Makepeace. He also leaves several beloved nieces and nephews.
He touched the lives of many people during his 23-year Boy Scouting career. He was a leader, committee chairman, and unit commissioner for Troop 414 in Economy and took great pride in shaping the young minds associated with scouting.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Leonard and Helen Vignere and a sister, Leah Rea Vignere.
No visitation. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013, from 5-9 pm at the Economy V.F.D.’s Banquet Hall, 3308 Conway Wallrose Road, Baden, PA 15005.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts Troop 414 of Economy, c/o Mr. Glenn McKee, 310 Constellation Drive, Freedom, PA 15042
