Jeffrey A. Kovach, 53, of Monaca, formerly of Key West, Fla., passed away Monday, July 1, 2013, following a long, hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born July 25, 1959, in Rochester, he was a son of the late Edward E. and Chlorus L. Kovach. Jeff loved the laid back lifestyle of the Florida Keys where he could be seen spending his leisure days fishing.

He is survived by his family, Cindy, Jeffrey, Alecia and Kristina Kovach, all in Florida; his brothers, Ed (Chanda) Kovach of Monaca and Scott (Janet) Kovach of Cortland, Ohio; his sisters, Laurie Murgen (Gary Schwarz) of Beaver, Julie (Mike) Martin of Beaver and Lynn (Jeff) Keefer of Monaca; his girlfriend, Lisa Mason in Indianapolis and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

Friends will be received Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca.
