The family of Pastor Dona Irene Parson Bradley is sad to announce her passing from this life to the next. She passed at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver, Pa., on Oct. 5, 2013, at 1:14 a.m. after battling cancer for a year.

Dona was intelligent, artistic, and spiritual. She worked as an administrative assistant to the Dean of Medicine at UPMC School of Nursing, and operated a successful stained glass shop. Later in life she heard the calling of the church and became a pastor of several local churches. She also assisted with the care of the elderly and infirm.

Dona, daughter of Wallace L. Parson and Ethel Mae Morrison Parson, was predeceased by her husband Kenneth A. Bradley Sr. and is survived by her son, Kenneth A. Bradley Jr.

Other surviving family includes brothers, David A. and Marvin A. Parson; sister, Kathleen P. Bufford; nieces, Heather and Rene; nephew, Brett; and granddaughter, Chrystalyn.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 49238 Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road, Calcutta, Ohio.
