Anna A. Booher, 66, formerly of Center Township, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 9, 2013, at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born August 11, 1947, in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Melvin and Thelma Alexander. Rev. Alexander was the founding pastor of Bunker Hill Community Church in Center Township. A member of the first graduating class of Center Area High School, Anna was first employed as a secretary at Teledyne Tool Steel & Wire in Monaca. She was united in marriage to David Booher who preceded her in death on August 9, 2002. They made their home in West Virginia where she served as a secretary and Sunday school teacher at Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church in Upper Falls, WV. Upon returning to the Beaver County area following her husband’s death, she worked at Monaca United Methodist Church as a secretary and also taught Sunday school.

She leaves a sister and her husband, Ruth and George Lee; a nephew with whom she had previously resided, Lou, Jr. and Allison Booher and their son, David, who was her special buddy, and nieces and nephews, Laura Booher, Connie McCartney, Ronnie Gianfrancesco, Tony Gianfrancesco, Kim Huster, Joann Kurtz, Deborah McDonough, Tom Mattica, Karen Wasileski and Harry Alexander along with many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Anna was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Alexander and two sisters, Phyllis Gianfrancesco and Pauline Booher.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 16th, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 252 College Avenue, Beaver. Interment took place at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar, WV.
