Obituary for Anthony DiBacco

Anthony (Tony) DiBacco, 56 of Monaca passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family.
Born April 3, 1957 in Rochester,Pa., he was a son of Attilio DiBacco and the late Josephine (DiCristofaro) DiBacco of Monaca.
A 1976 graduate of Monaca High School, he attended classes at Vo-Tech, Center Twp., and completed The Pennsylvania apprenticeship of Maintenance Technician.
He was recently employed at NF&M Titanium, Monaca but also worked five years for USG, Weirton, WV, and 29 years at Phoenix Glass, Monaca where he still has many friends.
Tony was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca. Over the years he volunteered for many of the youth organizations in Monaca, little league baseball, midget football, and quarterback club. He also served on the Monaca Recreation Board and was a councilman for 16 years where he was passionate about promoting his hometown for the betterment of his community.
Tony was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend who enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved spending time with his grandsons and watching them play sports. He will be sadly missed by all.
In addition to his mother, Tony was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Cindy (Boyer) Barto, his father-in-law, Raymond Boyer and step father-in-law, Eugene Fox.
Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Sheila (Boyer) DiBacco, his children: Kimberly (Greg) Santillo of Ellwood City and Todd (Kristin) DiBacco of Cranberry Twp. and his adoring grandchildren: Ethan and Matthew Santillo and Croix and Case DiBacco; his brothers and a sister-in-law, Dominic (Virginia) DiBacco and Sam DiBacco, all of Monaca; his mother-in-law, Margaret Fox of Monaca. Also by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Joe Boyer of Chicago, Ill.; Jerry Boyer of Monaca; Sharon (Ed) Shuty of Monessen; Chuck Barto of Center Twp.; Diane (John) Novaselic of Hopewell Twp.; and Rochelle Boyer of New Sewickley Twp. and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Friends will be received on Monday from 6-9 pm and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where parting prayers
will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30 am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 am in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Entombment will follow in Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Hospice, 6200 Brooktree Rd., Suite 220, Wexford, PA. 15090.
