Obituary for Mildred Tuttle Dwyer Cronin

Mildred Tuttle Dwyer Cronin, 85 formerly of Monaca passed away Saturday afternoon, Feb. 1, 2014 at Trinity Oaks Care Center, Brighton Twp.
Mildred was born in Kilbuck, WV on June 4, 1928, the youngest of seven children.
She was a retiree of the tin mill of J & L Steel’s Aliquippa works and a life member of both the Monaca American Legion Post 580 Ladies Auxiliary and the Monaca VFW Post 4653 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Effie (Stottlemire) Tuttle. Her first husband, Charles T Dwyer, Jr in 1958 and her second husband, John D. Cronin III in 1968. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers: Edward and Homer Tuttle and four sisters: Gladys Sullivan, Mabel Stout, Violet Burge and Myrtle Miller.
She leaves four children: Thomas Dwyer and his wife, Kim of Ft. Worth, Tx., Carolyn Perkins of Deland, Fla., Patricia Shafer of New Sewickley Twp. and Donna Relich and her husband, John of Monaca. Her grandchildren: Charles (Toni) Householder, Jennifer (Buzz) Swanson, Raeann Shafer, John (Nicole Courchene) Relich , Kelly Dwyer and Kaylee Dwyer.
Three great grandchildren and one expected and four great great grandchildren with another expected as well. A former son in law, Dave Shafer and Mildred’s longtime companion, Howard (Leroy) Johns. Several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Wednesday , Feb 5th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where services will be held on Thursday
at 10 am. The Reverend Linda McKenzie, Gateway Hospice chaplain will officiate. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank Nancy, Pooch, Jan and the staff at Trinity Oaks Care Center and the Gateway Hospice staff for the loving care that they gave our mother and grandmother.
