Obituary for Margaret Vespaziani (Bush)

Margaret Bush Vespaziani, 90 of Monaca passed away peacefully Friday, July 24, 2009, at UPMC Cranberry Place after a long and blessed life. She lived her life with vigor and maintained the integrity and class of a genuine lady.

Born into a large family on November 13, 1918, Margaret was a daughter of the late John and Helen (VanJura) Bush of Kennedy Twp, PA.

Her faith and St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca were the cornerstones of her life. Mrs. Vespaziani had devoted numerous years serving in various capacities with the church. Some of her proudest accomplishments were serving as a three term Grand Regent and three year District Deputy of Catholic Daughters of America as well as serving for three years as the C D of A Diocesan chairwoman She had also touched many lives with her involvement with the youth in the community . Affectionately known to them as “Mrs. V.” she served as a Beaver County Girl Scout leader for 10 years, and previously chaired both the Junior Catholic Daughters of America and CYO. Margaret had wonderful memories of the countless hours she volunteered with the Christian Mothers.

She was an accomplished seamstress and artist both of which she made as passionate hobbies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dominick Vespaziani who passed in 1977. The last of her immediate family, she preceded by three brothers, John, Theodore and George Bush and four sisters, Mary Bush, Helen Joly Forcucci, Anna Reed and Elizabeth Vidmar.

She leaves two daughters, Donna Cianfarano and her husband, Albert, of Monaca and their children, Anthony (Wilyn) Cianfarano, Lisa (Anthony) Scacchitti and Michael Cianfarano; a daughter, Margaret Kovach and her husband, James, of Brandon, Miss. and their children, James (Jodie) Kovach, Jr. and Christine (LaMarr) Ashmore; her beloved great-grandchildren, Aerial and Aaron Cianfarano, Dominic and Samantha Scacchitti, Payton Cianfarano, Tyler, Megan and Koby Ashmore, and Jordan and Janie Kovach. She also leaves a dear friend, Delores Kasprzyk.

Friends will be received on Sunday, July 26th from 1-4 and 6-8 pm at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where prayers will be offered on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Father John L. McKenna will be the celebrant.

Interment will follow in Mt Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made in her memory to St John the Baptist Catholic School, corner of 15th and Virginia Ave., Monaca, PA 15061.
